From India to China, he traveled, and with great experience and knowledge from the lands that he had passed, he incorporated fighting styles together to forged what is known today as “karate”. Once he arrived in China, he put the finishing touches and mastered the art of karate by gaining experience and knowledge from local residents. His art eventually became widely known to the villagers and only those that were strong and confident were able to master the art of karate. However the fact that karate was originated from China is only but a myth. Many say that the art of karate was created in a combat system on the island of Okinawa, Japan. Students of the combat system was taught karate in order to be able to defeat an opponent by kicking and striking them in vulnerable areas. Karate was taught throughout the island of Japan because it taught mental and physical discipline. The teachings of karate is known to be useful for everyone.
